Bethany “Town Meeting”, August 24

You will have an opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions concerning the proposed revisions of the church By-Laws on Sunday, August 24, immediately after worship. Copies of the proposed revisions are available here in WORD FORMAT or PDF FORMAT. Hard copies will be at Grand Central the morning of August 24. You are encouraged to ask questions and make suggestions.  The By-Laws Committee includes Julie Patterson, Sue Pepper, and James Bolin.

The kids will continue to enjoy interactive, hands-on Bible lessons each Sunday, while the adults will enjoy varied classes ranging from Parenting, Marriage, Basic Bible Stuff, and Deeper Bible Stuff.  Come join us!

Everything You Need to Know about Life in Bible Times in 6 1/2 easy lessons. Class begins September 7 in the Sanctuary at 9:30 AM

Nelson Haynes will thrill you with hands-on, interactive learning about life during Bible Times.

Book Club - Friday, August 22

You are welcome to join the Book Club. We will meet again at Panera Bread on M-59 (near Kroger) at 9:15 AM on Friday, August 22. We will be discussing a classic— Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Books are available to borrow. Go to church office and pick one up. 

Gather and Grow - Spaghetti Dinner
 Friday, September 26.

Dinners include pasta with/without meat balls, your choice of marinara or alfredo sauce, salad, garlic bread and dessert.

Carry Out available from 5 – 8 p.m.
Dine In available from 6 – 8 p.m.
Adults: $6, Children (3-10) $3, 2 and under free (dine in only)

Tickets available at Grand Central or Call (248)681-2130 to place your carry out orders and we will have them ready for pick-up.
Walk-ins welcomed

Adult Bethany Cyclists - September 14

Time to get your bikes down and start riding!  Our Sunday bike rides will start after the Fellowship dinners (Sept. 14 around 12:30). We will gather in the parking lot. So bring your bikes, helmets (recommended), water bottle, and ready conversation.

These rides are 10 -13 miles, and on safe routes.  Be sure to check your bikes out beforehand (tires inflated properly, brakes working, shifters working, etc.). We will have air pumps available to use.

GET YOUR SCRIP EVERY SUNDAY!

Bethany now has a SCRIP program as a fundraiser to earn money to support our budget. You purchase the items you normally would – and Bethany gets a percentage.  This is an ongoing fundraiser with the potential of raising several thousand dollars this year.

Here’s how it works. You purchase scrip (gift cards) through Bethany to use for your regular shopping: groceries, gas, restaurants, etc.  Orders are collected each Sunday, and the Scrip is delivered the following Sunday. Order blanks are available in the bulletin and at Grand Central. Orders collected on Sunday at Grand Central.
